Sugarloaf Crafts Festival
Discover master craftspeople, as well as new and emerging artists, at the time-tested Sugarloaf Crafts Festival. There are plenty of events for kids, too!
April 28-30 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds. Tickets $8 (online), $10 (event day), free (kids 12 and younger).

Peabody Wind Ensemble Perform with Svet Stoyanov, Percussion
The Peabody Wind Ensemble presents a free concert for classical music lovers featuring percussionist Svet Stoyanov.
At Miriam A. Friedberg Concert hall, 7:30p.m., free.

Animal Care Experience
Join a veterinarian from the National Aquarium and learn all about what it’s like to keep turtles, angelfish, and all of our favorite animals healthy. Participants receive full access to our animal hospital, and see a real life animal exam. (Children must be at least 8 years old to participate.)

Wildflower Trail Walk
The Cylburn Arboretum Association invites you and your family to explore the Arboretum with Dwight and Kirsten Johnson, Cylburn’s wildflower experts.

Book Signing: Corinne’s Fin
Local author Dayle Dabney will be at Greetings & Readings for a signing of her popular children’s book, Corinne’s Fin.

Horticulture Workshop: Trees of the Zoo
The zoo isn’t just a home for animals! Come learn about their wide selection of trees from Jay Brewster, the Zoos’ Director of Horticulture, chat about trees and even learn how to plant one on your own!

ROAR For Kids
Join this fun 5k run/walk benefiting kids’ research and programming at the Kennedy Krieger institute. Post-run, check out tons of fun events and activities for kids of all ages.

Charm City Bluegrass
Get back to your roots at this fun, family-friendly outdoor festival, featuring Cris Jacobs, The Dustbowl Revival, Lonesome River Band and many more.
Starting at 10 a.m. in Druid Hill Park. Tickets: $55.

Flock Festival
Get a head start on football season with the Ravens Flock Festival, a celebration of all things purple and black featuring games and activities, player appearances and more.
11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. at M&T Bank Stadium. Tickets: $10 adults, $5 kids.

SUNDAY

Greater Baltimore Kidney Walk
This special 15th anniversary event will raise awareness of and donations for kidney disease research with a two-mile walk, superhero-themed KidneyCon, musical performances and more.
9 a.m. at UMBC in Catonsville. Free.

Inner Harbor Kayak Tours
Baltimore City Recreation & Parks and the Healthy Harbor Initiative host their first kayak tours, now to be held weekly on Sundays.
Tickets: $20-$30.

 Highlandtown Wine Festival
Enjoy a celebration of home wine-making at this fun block party/festival, featuring local food and beverages, live music, kids’ activities, vendors and more.
Tickets: $25. 1-6 p.m. at Conkling & Claremont.

 

Day Out With Thomas!
Thomas the Tank Engine will be at the B&O Railroad museum from Friday-Sunday April 28-30. Take an indoor train carousel ride and say hi to the best little blue train around.
