Spend a pleasant morning learning about Bluebirds by walking a Bluebird Box trail with Wes Earp of the Howard County Bird Club and Robinson Nature Center Naturalists. Ever wonder what nest you are looking at? During the program, learn how to recognize the nests of different “cavity-nesting” birds that use bluebird boxes. During the mile walk, discover more about the cycle of nest building, egg laying, and the fledgling of young, including how to age young chicks. Enjoy examining Bluebird house construction and learn how to place a box for optimum success.
