B’More Social July 15-17

Artscape

Even if you’re not into Artscape (though why wouldn’t you be?!), there’s plenty to do this very hot weekend.

Friday

It’s Artscape weekend! The big summer festival in Baltimore everyone’s been waiting for. Head on up towards Mid-Town/Station North for everything art, live music, food and entertainment. For free! Happening all weekend long, it’s one of the summer’s most anticipated events, so don’t miss out! Free. July 15-17 in Station North, Mid-Town Belvedere neighborhoods.

Ready for some Shakespeare in the Park, er, Meadow? Starting this Friday, Baltimore Shakespeare Factory will be performing Twelfth Night, the Shakespearean gender-bending comedy of mistaken identity, on the meadow in front of the Evergreen Museum and Library at Johns Hopkins University. Tickets: Free for kids 5th grade and younger, $15 for students, teachers and seniors, $20 for adults. 6 p.m. at Evergreen Museum and Library, 4545 North Charles Street.

Saturday

Starting this month, Baltimore Clayworks has drop-in Maker Mornings for kids aged 3-15. It’s like playing with play-doh, but even better! This Saturday’s theme will be “Sculpting Selfies.” Unleash your child’s creativity and imagination through clay. Tickets: $10 per attendee. 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Baltimore Clayworks.

Want a non-Artscape festival to go to this weekend? Power Plant Live has you covered: it’s Summer Fest! With carnival games, specialty food and drinks and a family fun are, this should give everyone a reason to venture into the heat. Tickets: $10-195. 11 a.m. at Power Plant Live.

Sunday

Add some suds to your weekend with Bubble Days at the Maryland Science Center. Make your own bubble solution and wand, swim through a sea of bubbles, compete in a bubble-blowing contest and watch bubble artist Casey Carl perform his BubbleMania show. Tickets: $18.95 for children 12 and under, $24.95 for adults. 12-4 p.m. at Maryland Science Center.
