Baltimore Boat Show
The Baltimore Boat Show is dropping its anchor at Baltimore Convention Center—browse through hundreds of the  latest boat models and marine accessories, experience stand-up paddle boarding, join the 6th annual Crab Pickin’ Contest  and learn all about boats in the fishing and boating seminars.
Tickets: $14.  Jan. 26-28 (10 a.m.-8 p.m.) and Jan. 29 (10 a.m.-5 p.m.) at Baltimore Convention Center.

Who’s Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band
Who’s up for a family concert night featuring music by the King of Pop? Who’s Bad, the longest-running Michael Jackson tribute band, is coming to Baltimore to continue the legacy of MJ’s musical genius. This event is for all ages, so if you have a little MJ wannabe, bring them along and watch them sing and dance to this powerful performance.
Tickets required. 8 p.m. at Baltimore Soundstage.

Winter Constellations
Curious about the vast night sky? This program introduces participants to basic astronomy and how to use a star map. Enjoy the great outdoors by viewing the night sky and finding constellations while listening to stories about stars and nocturnal animals.
Fee required. 6:30 p.m. at Irvine Nature Center.

Tween Clay Social
Drop off your tween at this social clay workshop where they play with clay while learning techniques used in hand-building and/or wheel projects. This is a great chance for them to meet new friends and discover the art of slab, coil and sculpting to create ceramic artwork. Beginners are welcome, and the class includes materials, firing, two slices of pizza and a drink.
Fee required. 6-9 p.m. at Baltimore Clay Works.

SATURDAY

Polar Bear Plunge
Head out in the cold for a cool cause at Sandy Point State Park! As always, the plunge benefits the Special Olympics of Maryland and promises that you’ll be “freezin’ for a reason.”

Urban Pirates Story Time
Your child can discover their inner pirate at this interactive activity, which includes songs, games, stories, treasure and other swashbuckling adventures.

Puzzle Palooza
National Puzzle Day calls for an afternoon puzzling over puzzles.
Free. 2-3:30 p.m. at BCPL White Marsh Branch.

SUNDAY

Lunar New Year
Join the Walters Art Museum in welcoming the Year of the Rooster! Embrace the spirit at this celebration by participating in art activities and watching traditional Lunar New Year performances featuring the Baltimore Chinese School, Johns Hopkins Lion Dance Troupe and Korean dance groups Sang Hee Ju Traditional Dance Company and Stepping Stones.
Free. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Walters Art Museum.

Animals in the Winter
Learn all about what animals do during the wintertime (hint: migration and hibernation) with puppets and crafts.

Black History Live with Culture Queen
Kick off BHM with some empowering entertainment by the Culture Queen, an award-winning teaching artist. Perfect for any history buff or budding activist! Your child will experience great music, movement and storytelling activities inspired by Black history.
