Tides & Tunes
If the backdrop to music is as important as the sound itself, another event to check out is the Tides & Tunes Summer Concert Series in Annapolis on Thursday nights. Bands from folk to rock take a stage set against the Chesapeake Bay. Food and spirits are sold at the concerts.

Tubing at Monkton
Take a 1.8-mile hike up the Torrey C. Brown Rail Trail, and then enjoy a leisurely two-hour float down the Gunpowder River to Monkton Station. Registration required. Ages 10 and up.

Great American Campout
Grab your tent and join thousands of others across the nation sharing the joy of sleeping under the stars. There will be a ranger-led night hike, s’mores and breakfast in the morning. Ages 5 and up.

Exhibit Opening —Inescapable: The Life and Legacy of Harry Houdini
Be one of the first to experience the new exhibit honoring the amazing career of Harry Houdini. In honor of this special day, escape artist Dai Andrews will re-create one of Houdini’s great escapes, as he attempts to free himself from a strait jacket while hanging from a 50-foot crane.
