Kids Workshop Series: Maker’s Space: Storytelling through Design
Saturday, March 9, 11am – 11:45am & 1pm-1:45pm
Sunday, March 10, 11:30am – 12:15pm & 1:30pm – 2:15pm
Students learn about the important role of innovative technology as they work to design “engraving cylinders” like those used by the B&O’s first female civil engineer, Olive Dennis, who patented the famous B&O Railroad’s centenary china pattern. Students will design their own pattern and transfer to create a unique take-home plaque. Recommended for students grades 1-5. Space is limited to 30 students per session. $5 per student with paid admission to the B&O Railroad Museum.
