The practice of beekeeping has changed significantly since Benjamin Banneker was managing honeybees for honey to use and to sell to neighbors. Join us as we discover how our relationship with honeybees has changed over history, as well as the lore surrounding bees. We’ll explore the impact of honeybees both then and now on agriculture and discover some of the challenges honeybees face. Come check on our bee hives at Banneker’s orchard, as well as get a taste of our local honey. Adults and families with children age 7+. Not recommended for people allergic to bees. $3/person or $10/family.
